    Steve Waldron is Local Product Line Manager at Vector GB, responsible for Vector’s embedded software products and services within the UK and ROI. Following his graduation in 2004, Steve began his career writing software tools and low-level device drivers at semiconductor manufacturers. In 2008, Steve moved to an off-highway OEM to write transmission control applications and improve development processes, where he ended up leading the software team.

    Steve holds Master’s Degrees in Digital Systems Engineering and Reliable Embedded Systems, and is a Chartered Engineer with the Institute of Engineering and Technology. He has a passion for good-quality embedded software and pertinent industry standards, such as AUTOSAR and ISO 26262. Today Steve is using his experience to help drive the automotive industry technology towards Software-Defined Vehicle.

    With over 25 years of experience working across the automotive, power generation, renewable energy, and sustainable transport industries, Steve uses his experience to lead research and projects focused on accelerating the shift to net-zero transport systems and addressing market barriers.

    Steve holds a BEng in Automotive Manufacturing and an MSc in Renewable Energy Systems Technology.

    Dr. Temoc Rodriguez obtained his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Cambridge. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology. He has worked in the field of power electronics for over 20 years, and he is currently Global Technical Expert of electrified systems at Ricardo. Prior to joining Ricardo, Dr. Rodriguez worked in the field of renewable power generation, industrial power supplies and motor drives, and aircraft electronic systems. He is currently leading electrification developments in automotive and aerospace programmes, including wide bandgap semiconductor propulsion inverters, and highly integrated on-board chargers and dc/dc converters. He also leads R&D, innovation, and strategy for electric propulsion at Ricardo.

    After graduating Aerospace Engineering from the University of Liverpool, Teodora joined Zenzic in 2022 as a research intern. Quickly impressing in her work, Teodora soon progressed into her current role at the core of Zenzic's insights team. To date Teodora has co-authored several key strategic research publications, including The International CAM Landscape, Connecting the UK CAM Supply Chain and Scaling Up by 2035, Opportunities for the UK CAM sector. Looking forwards, in her role as a Research Analyst, she will take a leading role in Zenzic's work to update the collective understanding of the challenges, strengths and opportunities in the UK's CAM supply chain to support an exciting next phase of development for the sector.

    Dr. Thomas Bacquart

    Dr Thomas Bacquart is a science area leader in the Energy Gas Metrology group at NPL with over 15 years of working experience in analytical chemistry and metrology. For the past 9 years at NPL, his focus has been on hydrogen quality and more especially on hydrogen fuel quality including novel methods for performing hydrogen purity analysis and standards as ISO 14687. He contributed to the development of the NPL hydrogen quality and its accreditation ISO 17025 and coordinated multiple UK and European projects in the past years(15NMR03, 16ENG01, H2020 HYDRAITE, HyQuality, 19ENG04, technical lead for UK-funded project HG2V and A4I projects). He has interest in supporting new strategy for ensuring hydrogen fuel quality and understanding impact of contaminants on hydrogen vehicles.

    Dr. Tom Fletcher

    Tom Fletcher is a lecturer in the Mechanical Engineering department and a member of IAAPS. Dr Fletcher’s primary research area is the systems design and control of hydrogen fuel cell stacks for transport applications. Dr Fletcher also has experience in conventional, electric and hybrid vehicle powertrains, including the creation of a modular co-simulation environments capable of XiL simulation. His research interests include systems integration and optimisation, thermal management, and adaptive and predictive control of powertrains.

    Dr. Truong Dinh

    Dr Truong Dinh is an Associate Professor of Energy Management and Control Systems within Energy Applications Group in WMG, the University of Warwick. He is an HEA Fellow, an IEEE senior member.

    He has led/involved in CR&D projects and published over 200 scientific papers (including 90 high quality journal papers, 04 patents, 03 books and book chapters) in areas of mechatronics, automation and control, energy management and optimisation, and applications to intelligent energy and transportation systems. He has delivered more than 20 keynote and invited talks at renowned conferences and industrial events. He has received 13 journal and conference paper awards.

    He is technical committee member of IEEE-IES – Motion and Control Section; chapter vice-chair of IEEE-CIS Region 8; editorial members of several international journals and IEEE Trans. He is the general co-chair and publication co-chair of the IEEE IES International Conference on Mechatronic Technology 2019 to 2023.

    Venn is Deputy Director for Driving the Electric Revolution. This Challenge is growing the UK’s Power Electronics, Machines and Drives (PEMD) supply chains across all sectors from energy to rail, automotive to marine and industrial to aerospace. This is being done through co-investment with industry in collaborative research and development projects, providing accessible industrialisation equipment and the development of the skilled workforce that sits behind this. Venn joined UKRI from TRL (the UKs Transport Research Labs) where he was ULEV and Energy lead and worked on numerous Electric Vehicle infrastructure projects. Prior to this he led and worked on low emissions vehicle projects at Transport for London. 

    Dr. Waqas Tanveer

    Dr Waqas has over 14 years of intersectoral experience while working on hydrogen projects for aviation, ammonia and steel industries in South Korea and UK. Since June 2023, he has been leading the hydrogen activities at TÜV SÜD in the UK where he is the Head of Hydrogen Industry Services. Before joining TÜV SÜD he was seconded at a large electrolyser manufacturing company in UK via a pipeline manufacturing giant in Europe. He holds a PhD in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University South Korea. He is a Fellow of Institute of Mechanical Engineering & Higher Education Academy and is a Chartered Engineer. Dr Waqas has received several awards from reputed organizations for his work on developing environmentally friendly solutions via engineering. He was recognized as a Global Talent (Potential Leader) by the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2021.
